Today, we attended Peak Fest in Apex, our first craft show of 2011. It was a great show – beautiful weather, lots of people, good bands, and fun.
Craft shows take a lot of preparation – planning, making inventory, pricing, packing, traveling, setting up, attending, and unpacking. But they are a great way to get feed-back on new ideas.
At Peak Fest, we debuted several new glaze patterns and surface treatments. Many of which received very nice compliments – and several of which were purchased. It was especially encouraging that so many very good friends and family came to the show and stopped by the booth. Thanks to everyone for a great day!
I am soooooooooooo glad that you guys had a good weekend! I thought about you often. I can’t wait to hear whatever feedback you choose to share… especially if it is about some of the new surface stuff and all that y’all are doing. I actually didn’t figure you for a blog… so glad you did… so glad it was a good show and time 🙂
Thanks for reading. Even though I was quite tired, I had to post the blog because I didn’t want to miss my 2 posts/week goal. I can be quite obsessive about such things!
