“Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.” – Emily Bronte
Happy Fall! Today is the first official day of fall and I am so excited. In fact, I have hung a harvest wreath on the front door and bought some beautiful red flowers to put on the table because this is my favorite time of year.
The changing season brings certain rituals that I enjoy. I make soups, set out decorations, light candles in the evenings, buy mums for the deck, drink tea, etc. But, there isn’t much that changes in the studio. Although, I am a bit more apt to work on holiday projects. But other than going to craft shows, my work continues. With such pleasant weather, it is even more enjoyable to be in the studio with the door open! Perhaps I will make some leaf mugs today…
I had a wonderful fall day at your studio. The door open with a fresh breeze and autumnal sunlight, your 4-legged sous potters playing in the yard. It was fun to step just outside the door and pick maple leaves for the mugs. Especially to search for the little leaves to go on the bottom. What a peaceful day. I’m blessed by your friendship every day of the year but Fall is the time I celebrate it most.
I was so happy to spend the first day of fall with you!
That teapot is so pretty….I love the leaf under the lid! It is detail like that that elevates a piece of any artwork, craft, etc. to a higher level of quality and enjoyment.
Thank you so much, Kim. It is fun to find ways to add details to pots.
I want one! I love it.
